In the below mentioned Delhi Agra weekend itinerary we will be visiting the land of love and see the Taj Mahal , Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. The must have is to eat the Pethas (sweet dish) and shop in the lanes for some marble stuff as souvenirs.
In the morning we will be leaving for Agra by a private car via Yamuna Expressway which is the longest in India which stretches down to Lucknow. As soon as we reach the city of love Agra you will check in the hotel and take some rest, later we will be visiting the Taj Mahal and then we will leave for the Agra Fort which is a beautiful Mughal monument. Overnight relaxation in the hotel pre booked for you.
After the meal of the morning we will be leaving for Fatehpur Sikri, which has been a fort for the Mughal all their life. It is as beautiful as a fairy dream. After this we will be leaving for the hotel, rest of the day will be at the pleasure of our own scenes, we can head towards the shopping markets to buy some souvenirs. Overnight stay at the hotel.

You would need to follow the Taj Express Highway/Yamuna Expressway; travelling distance would be nearly 233.10 kilometres and travelling time would be round about 3 hours 51 minutes. Trains like Gatimaan express that runs from the Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway station to Agra Cantt [Travelling time – 1 hours 40 minutes]; the Taj Express that runs from New Delhi Railway station [Travelling time – 02.500 minutes] etc. The nearest airport to Agra is Indira Gandhi International Airport.
One can pay their visit throughout any time of the year; however beginning from the month of October to March is highly recommended.
